Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy investigating principles of reality transcending those of any particular
science. Cosmology and ontology are traditional branches of metaphysics. It is concerned with explaining the ultimate nature
of being and the world.
A central branch of metaphysics is ontology, the investigation into what types of things there are in the
world and what relations these things bear to one another. The metaphysician also attempts to clarify the notions by which
people understand the world, including existence, objecthood, property, space, time, causality, and possibility.
More recently, the term "metaphysics" has also been employed by non-philosophers to refer to "subjects that
are beyond the physical world".
The Source of this material.
In September 1984, the voice that had spoken for one of the most profound and prolific metaphysical teachers of the
20th century fell silent. Seth the entity who described himself as an "energy personality essence no longer focused in physical
matter" had spoken exclusively through Jane Roberts since 1963. During the long illness that led to her death, Jane continued
to channel Seth from her hospital bed, but this final work was left unfinished. In an examination of the miracle of life
in a human body, Seth speaks about:
* Why medicine and therapy often perpetuate illness * How the practice of
naming diseases can work against us * The influence of religion in creating disease * How children's health is influenced
by parents' beliefs * Humor as an effective factor in healing
"Do not think of the mind as a purely
mental entity, and of the body as a purely physical one. Instead, think of both mind and body as continuing, interweaving
processes that are mental and physical at once. Your thoughts actually are quite as physical as your body is, and your body
is quite as nonphysical as it seems to you your thoughts are. You are actually a vital force, existing as a part of your environment,
and yet apart from your environment at the same time." (Seth)
"The Seth books present an
alternate map of reality with a new diagram of the psyche...useful to all explorers of consciousness." (Deepak
Chopra. M.D.)
"Note that we consider the Seth Books to be the best and most complete collection of metaphysical material ever published."
"Taken at face value, the Seth material gives us a plethora of common-sense insight into ourselves
and the tenuous world around us, and as such it is worth effort to read and re-read the material he presents.
Taken more deeply, this material has the power to change your world for the better forever. The Seth material
is a large resource that originated in our modern world and speaks in terms that are understandable by modern readers, making
it an absolute must-read for anyone serious about spiritual knowledge and the possibility of transcending into a higher plane
of existence and awareness." (www.mysticalblaze.com)
Seth is a non-physical entity who has dictated thousands of pages
of literature through 'channel' Jane Roberts. If you can get past that, you are in for the most profound material available
today!

"The way toward health is simplicity itself. It is the natural, easiest way to behave, yet this natural mental behavior
is often quite difficult for the intellect to understand, since the intellect is apt to enjoy playing with complications and
solving problems. Therefore, to the intellect it often seems ludicrous to imagine that the answer to a question lies within
the question itself....It is perfectly fine to make plans for the future, yet each individual should live day by day, without
worrying about the outcome of those plans. The physical body can only react in present moment. Worrying about future events,
or dwelling upon past unfavorable situations, only confuses the body’s mechanisms, and undermines their precise activity
in the present moment." (Seth)
"...the physical universe itself is a conglomeration of diverse individualistic symbols, none of which means precisely
the same thing to any two individuals, and in which even so called basic qualities like color and placement in space cannot
be relied upon. You merely focus upon similarities. Telepathy could be called the glue that holds the physical universe in
precarious position, so that you can agree on the existence and properties of objects." (Seth)
